Institute for Applied Informatics

The Institute for Applied Informatics (InfAI) was founded in 2006 for the purpose of promoting science and industry-related research and development in the fields of computer science and business informatics. The institute hosts world class research groups in service and web science. The approximately 100 researchers organized in different expert groups at the InfAI are establishing theoretical results and scalable implementations for realizing the Semantic Data Web, Data driven Solutions and Enterprise Systems. The focus of the InfAI is on the areas of Big Data, Smart Data, Logistics, Data Analytics, Biomedical and Technical Data, Process Modelling, Energy Industry as well as Service Research.
